Even children at this young age (18 to 23 months) are learning in so many ways every day. In the classroom with other children they develop social skills, independence and self-control. Language development (verbal skills, listening skills and vocabulary building) is enhanced. The children are exposed to numbers, shapes and colors through age-appropriate music, art and playtime. They enjoy experiencing different art mediums such as paint, paste, play dough, colors and textures. Improvements in motor development skills are seen in balance, eye-hand coordination, running, jumping, climbing and tumbling. This group especially loves music with songs, finger plays, rhythm and movement. Toddler teachers guide the students through happy, fun-filled days with lots of nurturing and love.
